Bob McDonnell on Virginia hoops tournament

Steve Yanda that the commonwealth of Virginia and eight of its Division I athletic programs would be announcing the Governor’s Holiday Hoops Classic, an annual holiday-time four-team basketball event at the Richmond Coliseum. Now, the details aren’t perfect — it’s not really a tournament, and there are only two games a year, and at least one notable school (William & Mary) was omitted from the field — but it’s still better than the D.C.-area has managed, with the absurd Georgetown-Maryland situation continuing to fester.
